Candace is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has over 25 years of nursing experience in healthcare. The last 11 years focused on developing her expertise in ICD-10 Coding and Oasis review with current credentials of HCS-O and HCS-D. Candace’s experience includes client facing EMR implementation, interactive educational development tools, regulatory compliance and Quality Improvement initiatives with proven client results. She has also worked directly with clinicians instructing on Home Health documentation best practices, developed orientation & onboarding programs with EMR integration training.
Currently, she the Director of Coding & Oasis and is responsible for oversight of daily operations, quality and performance and client satisfaction. Candace lives in Alabama with her husband, Greg, and two daughters, Raegan and Kennedy. In March 2021 she and husband will be welcoming their first grand baby.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
My family loves college football. Our Saturdays consist of Football parties with family and friends. Our house is pretty divided which makes for some heated conversations- ROLL TIDE, WAR EAGLE, and GO BIG BLUE.
What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?
Coffee and porch swing sitting. This is my quiet time for me to recharge and reflect on being a better version of myself then the day before.
