Ms. Roos has enjoyed a distinguished career spanning over 40 years in the healthcare industry. After completing her education at Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, PA with her BSN, she worked in critical care at Hershey Medical Center and held various positions prior to entering the home health industry in 1992. She served as Director, Administrator, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer for various large home health organizations prior to becoming a Founding Member of S.M.A.R.T. Healthcare Compliance Resources, LLC in July 2018.
With proven leadership skills and a wealth of experience, in Mary Lou’s next chapter she will focus on assisting the home health and hospice community providers navigate the complexities of compliance. She exhibits an amazing passion for partnering with S.M.A.R.T.’s client base to alleviate some of the massive administrative burden placed on clinical operators and to allow providers to focus on delivery of excellent patient care.
Mary Lou is eager and ready to share her wealth of experience to help S.M.A.R.T.’s clients achieve success in a complex and highly regulated industry.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
Well, most people who know me actually DO know this fact about me, but since our 3 beloved children have not yet provided us with grandchildren, my husband and I are fully available to provide grandparent surrogacy services. Just saying…
What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?
My motivation to get out of bed is now directed at spending time at the beach. My recent relocation provides me with that opportunity to do so frequently, and I hope to have set a good precedent for 2019 by spending both Christmas and New Years Day walking the beach.
