Hospices nationwide are experiencing a surge in Additional Documentation Requests (ADRs) originating from multiple oversight bodies, impacting both pre-payment and post-payment claims.

Defending Your Care and Your Reimbursement

The Office of Inspector General has announced a nationwide audit to be conducted starting in 2023 relative to hospice beneficiary admissions which are not preceded by a hospital stay or emergency room visit. State Surveyors and Deemed Status Organization’s are being trained and held accountable to ensure the Hospice CoP’s are being followed with emphasis on patient safety. CMS Contractor Post-Payment Medical Review continues to ramp significantly in many areas of the country with profound overpayment determinations being made. CMS is working diligently to implement a required Comprehensive Assessment Tool for hospice – HOPE! The industry is facing the most heightened scrutiny since Hospice became a Medicare benefit in 1983. Unquestionably the Landscape is changing and this seminar is designed to provide critical and practical information for all Hospice Stakeholders.

This training is built to translate complex regulatory updates into actionable strategies your team can implement immediately.
